Brighton, Michigan -- The 12-ounce star of WETBEER, Inc. is a sudsy kinda guy, but no one figured that he would "Go Hollywood!"
"I don't know what happened to him," said WETBEER's brainchild, Steve Brown, "one day he's here giving Michigan a good soaking, and the next thing I know, he's hob-knobbing with all the celebs in California and New York."
That's because WETBEER and it's associated promotional materials have landed small roles in three movies and two television shows. "The Tavern," is currently being shot in New York City, and stars Cameron Dye, Nancy Ticotin, and Margaret Cho. "The Bachelor" stars Chris O'Donnell and Rene Zelwegger and is being filmed in California. "Duets," starring Gwyneth Paltrow, starts production in Canada in early 1999. All three films have tavern and bar scenes throughout, where the audience might just catch a glimpse of a WETBEER, T-shirt, table tent, or poster.
WETBEER's first television appearances will be on "Dharma and Greg" and "Living in Captivity."
"Being part of a major film production provides WETBEER with an opportunity for tremendous exposure," said Brown, WETBEER's founder and CEO.
"We're ecstatic to be part of the Hollywood scene, and wish all five shows our best as they head into their respective mediums."
